In simple words, hypnotism is a process in which a person forces another person to do his work without his will. The hypnotized person has no control over himself and like a machine, he just follows the commands of the other person. Hypnosis is believed to have been in practice since the 18th century. Scientifically, the word hypnotism was invented by Dr. James Braid in the 19th century.
